About Hillcote Pets
What We Do
All pets who stay at Hillcote are treated as a member of the family and are welcomed by permanent canine residents, Gizmo, a larger than life Chihuahua and Archimedes (Artie), a cuddly Golden Retriever.
Who We Are
Hello, I'm Kayleigh – Hillcote’s Head Human, and I started Hillcote Pets because I have always wanted to make my lifestyle my living. I have an Ofqual Level 3 qualification in Dog Boarding and Day Care and many years experience of owning and working with dogs. I recently completed my CPD certificate caring for senior dogs and the Dog Loss and Bereavement Programme with Canine Principles. This means that all dogs that stay at the Hillcote Hotel get the attention and care they need to keep them happy and healthy and enjoy their stay with us. And that I am well prepared when the inevitable happens that comes as part of the package of caring for our more senior members of the family.
Join the Hillcote Family
Hillcote Pets welcomes mature dogs and we specialise in senior dogs, especially those who enjoy a quieter and more relaxed pace of life. If you would like us to welcome your dog, please Contact Us to ensure we can meet their needs.
The rest of the Hillcote Family consists of:
-
Little Chief Canine Companion, Gizmo – our resident Senior Citizen a 12 year old larger than life Chihuahua
-
Big Chief Canine Companion, Artie – a gentle 5 year old Golden Retriever who was raised with Gizmo
-
Hillcote’s Helper, Anthony (Kayleigh’s fiancée) – who makes sure the Hillcote Hotel is in tip-top condition and that all guests receive all the cuddles and play time they could wish for
Please note, in order to keep all of our furry friends safe, we require that all dogs are:

*Trained to walk on a loose lead or walk to heel
*Socialised with a variety of dogs and people
*Independent and able to tolerate short periods of separation
*Able to tolerate a crate or pen for short periods
*Calm and laid back in temperament and able to self soothe

*We do NOT board cats in the interests of the health and safety of all furry friends.
